Hi Bob, please try not to worry. There are a few pointers to focus on:

1. A job interview is just a meeting. A meeting between you and a potential employer.

2. Ask yourself this - what is the worst thing that can happen? You don't get offered the job which is not the end of the world. There will be lots of opportunities right around the corner for you.

3. Use the interview as a learning process - don't go to your next interview to try and get the job, simply use it as an exercise to learn about the process, determine how you feel and to practice your interview skills.

I also recommend you take the time to study this video as it should help:

Let me know if you need any more advice or help 🙂

Hello @n-priyanka,

It is completely normal to feel nervous before and during an interview, even when you know you have the right qualifications. The key is to practise answering questions out loud before the interview so you feel confident expressing yourself.

For a teaching role, prepare examples of how you have helped students learn, managed a classroom, and adapted your teaching style for different needs. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to keep your answers structured and focused. The more you practise these aloud, the more natural and confident you will feel in the real interview.

I recommend watching my video on teaching interview questions and answers on the CareerVidz YouTube channel. It will give you clear examples you can adapt to your own experience. Here’s the link: Teaching Job Interview Questions and Answers

When you think about your past experience, what is one example of a lesson you taught that went really well and had a positive impact on the students?

Richard
